India’s Youngest Ceo and App Developer – Shravan & Sanjay Kumaran
Those who says India stand nowhere in the field of IT must read this incredible achievement by two brothers Shravan (10) and Sanjay Kumaran (12). The duos from chennai have successfully registered their name in the world’s youngest CEO and Entrepreneur list by launching their own mobile applications at a very small age. Shravan who is 10-years-old is the Co-Founder and President of Go Dimensions company and his younger brother Sanjay of 12 years is Co-Founder and CEO.
The two brothers are the youngest chief executives and app developer of India so far. Both of them are still studying in school in Class VIII and Class VI at Vaels Billabong High International School (Chennai).
How did they start?
Their company Go Dimensions took a swing in the last month of 2011 and within two months their first mobile application Catch me Cop was on Apple’s App Store and In next two weeks, nearly 2,000 downloads were seen. Their hard work started paying off and within next few weeks the app received attention from cnet.com, one of the most popular websites for tech news, reviews and listings of popular apps.
Their father Kumar Surendran, 45 who is a techie and director of an IT firm said, “The two boys were very much eager to learn about programming. In three years, they learn three languages thoroughly- Cobol, Basic and Objective-C and began to produce mobile application. As per their studies which is equally important, they study for an hour a day.”
The Two Bros have built four apps so far namely Alphabets Board (An App for kids to Learn alphabets), Color Pallette (This App is to Learn various colors for kids) and Prayer planet (the game is for religious prayers of different communities). and are available at Apple Store for download. The apps have received more than 10,000 downloads from 20 countries so far.
